IT Support personnel are a mobile work force who need to be informed of server issues should they arise, 24 hours a day. The majority of server monitoring software applications such as Microsoft Operations Manager, HP Systems Insight Manager generate alerts that will email on-call personnel on exceeded parameters. Go2mobile offers a solution that allows alerts to be sent to mobile phones via SMS with very little configuration at the client side.

Objective of the Service:
Many companies have far flung server location centres now, so it is essential that staff know when parameters have being exceeded on any electronic device. Go2mobile's solution is to still use your existing monitoring software and add to/replace the existing on-call email addresses,
with the mobile number@go2mobile.com of the on-call personnel, so it is a simple change to the monitoring software configuration.

With over 5.7 million children in forced labour worldwide and 246 million children under of the age of 18 working fulltime. And domestic child workers working long hours, 15-16 hour days are not uncommon, Concern launched a campaign to gather petition names to help end this sufferance.

Objective of the Project:
Part of this strategy was to gather petition names using SMS, from displaying a Mobile Number in TV and Print Adverts that people could text their names to.

RedFM is licenced to broadcast to the Cork city and county. Backed by a number of high-profile investors including Thomas Crosbie Holdings, HLB Nathan and Jim Aiken, RedFM is targeting the 15 to 34-year-old market in direct competition with 2FM and Today FM in the south of the country. 
RedFM’s promotional material and round-the-clock programming is aimed specifically at the younger end of the market segment with the oldest listener quoted in its focus group research as 34.

Objective of the Project:
RedFM wanted their listeners to interact with the radio station through a medium with which they were accustomed. This required a solution which would allow their listeners to text music requests, contribute to talk shows, participate in text competitions and polls. 

The DJs would need to be able to view these requests in a real time environment and announce the winners of competitions before the end of the show. In relation to the polls, the DJs wanted to be able to give periodic updates on the opinion of the audience during and towards the end of the show. The DJs also wanted to respond via text message to individuals where deemed appropriate.

The station wanted to be able to track the effectiveness of particular campaigns.

  Dairygold is the largest farmer-owned food company and multi-purpose agribusiness in Ireland and employs approximately 3,000 people with an annual turnover in excess of € 950 million.

Objective of the Project:
  • There were two objectives:Dairygold wanted to centralise their Artificial Insemination service to one location instead of 10 locations thus reducing costs.
  • Wanted to replace two-way radio system. Contacting the A.I. inspectors was a time-consuming job as they were only contactable when in their cars.

Solution:
Go2mobile have successfully installed Message Master High Volume messaging software which interacts automatically with Dairygold’s own A.I. Call Centre software and the GSM mobile networks. A.I. Inspectors now receive call-out instructions via Text Message.

  • Due to the reach of the GSM network, Dairygold were able to centralise their Call Centre, thus increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Text Messages will automatically be delivered to the A.I. inspectors’ mobiles, thus eliminating the time-consuming job of trying to relay instructions to them.
With the implementation assistance of Go2mobile, Dairygold can now transmit up to 10,000 instructions per hour to their mobile service teams.

Guinness required a solution whereby they could send stock level information and updates to their mobile workforce.

Myhome.ie also provides useful information on the legal aspects of buying a house, how changes in the budget affect prospective homeowners, and a checklist for those moving house.

Objective of the Project:
Myhome.ie required a service to promote their brand and drive traffic to their website on an ongoing basis.

Solution:
When registering at Myhome.ie’s website you are asked for your mobile number. When a suitable property (which is a property matching your location and description) is posted to the website, a Go2mobile message is sent directly to your mobile phone, alerting you immediately to this property. As this is a valuable service to a property buyer, it drives traffic back to their website, time after time.

Davy stockbrokers wanted to allow their customers access to stock market information being fed from the Irish stock market.

Solution:
Clients can setup personalised alert options within Davy Stockbrokers website, so when a particular stock or bond fluctuates by a preset value, an automated alert is transmitted to the relevant mobile phone. Using
Go2mobile's Business+ service Davy Stockbrokers are facilitating the above and are also currently sending out trade confirmations and daily stock movements to their clients.

Objective of the Project:
  • MRS requested a solution where they could notify their contract nurses via text message of immediate positions that needed to be filled.
  • They needed to be able to profile their nurses and target specific positions to particular nurses who fit required criteria.
Solution:
Group+, allows MRS to profile their members and text those members who fit a particular profile. It also enables them to:
  • Preview the filtered list so that they can exclude any member from this broadcast without it being necessary to change the member’s profile;
  • Search their database by name and then text that particular member or members;
  • Text an individual who is not a member of any group, i.e. input the mobile number of the recipient and text message. 
  • A complete log of the messages sent, to whom, and when they were sent, is also available.
